I need to update the blog system, hopefully it won’t make any difference, unless it does, sorry if the page looks terrible for a little while…

Folk night in Pigalle

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

After a quick photo call for the release of Marc Almond’s new album Orpheus in Exile in HMV in town I headed to the cosy Pigalle Club in Piccadilly circus for an intimate performance of BRIT-award winning singer songwriter Beth Orton. Fantastic voice and very nice club I must say, well, apart from having barely any light of course ;) .

A long and loud weekend

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Reading festival was three days of non stop music which I am still trying to recover from, from Little Boots’ pop to Municipal Waste’s extreme metal punk there was goodness for every ear.

The headliners this year were Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon, although the main stage wasn’t of my interest and there was plenty enough on the NME / BBC Radio1 stage, Lock Up stage and Festival Republic Stage to fill my cards with colours and energy. Legends Faith No More, colourful Gossip and the angry Gallows, my favourites, were among the true highlights of the weekend.

Lack of sleep is a direct symptom of such full on weekend but that was well worth it, now I am still going through the thousands of images to pick only the best. I haven’t created a page here yet but they are being updated first on my Flickr. Yes I have Flickr! Well I have had one for ages but never bothered to understand how that worked really, it is not like if I had more spare time for more internet activity ;) but it actually seems quite nice for sorting galleries and sets together. So for the time being have a look at the pics here! There are also a number of crowd shots so you might find yourself in here!
